Young Life Basketball Academy (YLBA) is a premier travel AAU youth basketball program for boys & girls. We focus on building fundamentally sound and ambitious players on & off the court. Our approach is to provide hands-on instructional training to enhance awareness and quality decision-making during competitive play and in life. Our program always emphasizes the importance of academics & sound character.

Building Character

Our program will challenge each student-athlete to enhance their skill set, basketball IQ, and competitive edge by playing against elite-level competition across the country. We’ll compete in the best tournaments along the Northeast, with trips to the Southeast, Midwest, or West Coast.

Our goal is to provide the best support, leadership, and opportunities for our student-athletes to chase their dreams and be successful in life.

YOUNGLIFE WARRIORS is built from a rich tradition of highly competitive NYC basketball and genuine love for the game. Coach Thompson (far left) and Coach Abrams (far right - yellow shirt) built a program that inspired youth to be better & compete on all levels of life. We're taking that torch to the next level!

Training Facilities

Our program will primarily train out of NYA Sports & Fitness Center in Newtown CT. Other locations within Newtown CT may be leveraged as well ocassionally. Our team is in the process of searching for locations in Westchester County NY.

Sometimes wins mask flaws when that's your only concern! We're focused on developing & winning, which is an effect of growth! Building character teaches our players how to persevere during difficult challenges, which is paramount to their success in life!
